KRAIBURG Elastik: Specialist in rubber flooring for animal housing
Using a unique manufacturing process, KRAIBURG Elastik develops and produces elastic rubber flooring for cattle and horse housing in Tittmoning / Germany. Since 1968, the company has combined its rubber expertise with practical product development. The aim is to support animal husbandry farmers with solutions that effectively combine animal welfare, safety and economic efficiency in the barn.
KRAIBURG: Elastic flooring for dairy cattle and beef fattening
For dairy farms, KRAIBURG offers flooring solutions for free stalls, walking areas, milking areas and other functional areas, amongst others. The products are tailored to their respective areas of application and support the design of lying and walking areas that are animal-friendly.
Cattle naturally prefer soft, yielding grounds. Elastic flooring helps to improve lying comfort and provides animals with secure footing on frequently used walking areas. This has a positive effect on joint and hoof health. In beef fattening too, the flooring supports more natural movement patterns, even under heavy loads.
BELMONDO: Solutions for horse housing
In addition to flooring for cattle housing, KRAIBURG Elastik develops and manufactures rubber flooring for horse husbandry under the BELMONDO brand. The products are designed for various areas such as looseboxes, stable walkways, washdown areas and horse walkers. Depending on the application, features such as slip resistance, comfort and a robust design take priority.
Practical product development and certified quality
Product development is closely aligned with agricultural practice. The barn flooring specialist tests its DIN-compliant products in its own laboratory, in test barns and through independent institutes. KRAIBURG Elastik was the first company to be awarded the DLG quality seal ‘CONTINUOUS MONITORING’. As part of the seal, manufacturing processes are regularly audited and environmental criteria are monitored. The underlying testing procedure was developed by the DLG in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute.
To continuously ensure effective quality, energy and environmental management, the company is certified according to the internationally recognized standards ISO 9001, ISO 50001 and ISO 14001.
Through its participation in the UN campaign “Vision 2045”, KRAIBURG Elastik presents its activities and goals related to responsible corporate development. Efficient use of resources with environmental protection in mind
Tires are an ideal raw material for durable products in animal husbandry. The sophisticated manufacturing process preserves key properties such as dimensional stability, elasticity and abrasion resistance. Valuable rubber is reused efficiently, and production offcuts can also be returned to the rubber cycle. KRAIBURG Elastik recycles around 35,000 metric tons of rubber each year. This corresponds to roughly 7.5 million passenger car tires. Instead of mineral plasticizer oils, the company uses exclusively vegetable oils from European cultivation.
The rubber compounds and production processes are continuously developed to meet the ever-increasing requirements for quality, durability and the respective conditions of use.
A reliable partner for animal husbandry
Around 200 employees work at the Tittmoning site in production, engineering, logistics, administration, sales and product development. Different specialist departments work together to address the requirements of livestock farmers and translate them into practical flooring solutions. The company also provides training in various professions, thereby securing expertise at the site. KRAIBURG Elastik is part of the globally active, family-owned KRAIBURG Group.
