Floors are often slippery and hard in farrowing barns. The PORCA fix mat quickly and easily provides improved slip resistance, more comfort and thermal insulation. It is easy on the sensitive shoulder section of sows and reduces the danger of teat injuries. PORCA fix has chamfered, animal‐friendly edges all the way round and also protects the carpal joints of piglets when suckling. The front area with bite‐optimized Protect surface ensures a long service life of the mat. PORCA fix is available in two options:

Why use rubber mats in pig pens?
Floors are often slippery and hard in farrowing barns.
Sows get up less often for fear of slipping. This leads to poorer feeding and water intake, increases the risk of MMA (Mastitis, Metritis and Agalactia syndrome) and breeding performance deteriorates. Excessive lying without changing position promotes the development of shoulder ulcers. Inflammation and pain reduce the performance of sows. In addition, there is an increased crushing mortality rate.
Rubber comfort mats improve health and well-being
They provide sows with increased lying comfort and better thermal insulation. This reduces the number of injuries and animal losses.
