Renovation of elevated calf pens in South Africa

In South Africa small calves are often kept in elevated calf pens with a grid floor with no litter. An example shows how the comfort of these pens can easily be improved.

The floors of these pens consist mostly of plastic, simple metal grids or of wood and are often:
